Geethika Lakmal developed a passion for wild life painting at a very young age. His absolute love of wildlife developed into a career as a painter and he has been exhibiting his paintings all over the world.

For the deep understanding of animal anatomy and for real observation of wildlife in its natural habitat, he frequently visit National parks and National Zoo of Sri Lanka. It brought him developed his career to demonstrate the natural behaviors of the animals, birds and mammals by his paintings.

“ I m a self-taught artist and i am honored to say that my work is well accepted everywhere. My paintings hang in number places including private and organization collections worldwide. It is a great privilege and honor for me to be able to share my talent with people all over the world.

I believe anyone can learn to draw but it is a skill that can be developed through practice. Wild life painting is more sensitive art which includes and understanding of animal behaviors by close observation before put dimension to the painting – that is something totally different than doing general paintings and, something that is born from deep within an artist.
